Transports Maritimes entre les deux rives de l’estuaire de la Gironde

T he Direction des Transports Maritimes Départementaux provides a link between the two banks of the Gironde estuary with two lines, Le Verdon / Royan and Blaye / Lamarque.

Two ferry and maritime transport services allow crossing the Gironde with a car, with several departures per day.

The first, the most northerly, at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, links Royan to the Pointe de Grave and thus avoids the long detour around the estuary and crossing two bridges over the Dordogne and the Garonne.
The second, of smaller capacity takes you to the heart of the Médoc from the Haute-Gironde and vice versa.
Passengers must be present for embarkation a minimum of 30 minutes before departure.
